LeAnne Rheaume (aka the Mastermind)

Unlike a CG movie of the same name, my forehead is not bulbous, nor blue. (least not that I can tell.)

This webseries has been my baby from the time i was 15 years old, and I'm proud to see its fruition from a bumbling comic idea to a fully fledged multimedia website that the whole of the internet can enjoy. Participation is a must, and the effort put into every minute detail hopefully encourages one to play along.

With Team Pollywawg's handiwork fine-tuning my rough concepts, we've built something unheard of before-an interactive webcomic and animated series with a focus on its fan-base.

Our mission is simple: To bring the imaginary to reality. To weave a story good enough to inspire others, to showcase new ideas, and to build a world steeped in its own cultural flavors- enough so that our users might hear the voices on the docks, bellowing orders. To insinuate the smell of fresh herbs and fish mongers filling the markets and feel the deep ache of bruises and bewilderment that our characters encounter on their way as easy as if they lived it themselves. I wanted users to get lost in my world and take away a culture-to build into it themselves with their own twists and story lines- like a great big happy fictional family. Roleplay, cosplay, fan fiction and character creation are all encouraged in the Fan Cave, and story lines can be influenced by users via polls and prompts.

As we trundle along the story arcs of our heroes, the fans influence the world in a big way. The numbers matter. If more people join the Pollywawg Army under Sasha, the antagonizing side for them will pick up its activites-often to the detriment or benefit of our heroes.

However, should users side with the Gilded Gloves and ally under Dragon, the story changes equally.

the Roughneck Militia offer a more neutral position, as do Maji and the most ordinary human. The choices of the user impact the outcome of the world. This is the power of participatory culture.

This is no longer just my world, or even team Pollywawg's. It stands on its own merit, with its own people making the choices that can either save or doom it.

I hope that you dear reader and the internet as a whole, find a happy niche within it.

Enjoy.
